Radio relics radio emission from multishock scenario

چکیده

Radio relics are giant ($\sim$Mpc) synchrotron sources that believed to be produced by the (re)acceleration of cosmic-ray electrons (CRe) shocks in intracluster medium. In this numerical study, we focus on possibility some radio may arise when undergo diffusive shock acceleration at multiple outskirts merging galaxy clusters. This multi-shock (MS) scenario appears viable produce CRe emit visible emission. We show have been shocked times develop an energy spectrum significantly differs from power-law expected case a single scenario. As consequence, emission generated is higher than only once. explored paper, two scenarios differ one order magnitude. particular MS scenario, simulated relic follows KGJP spectral shape, consistent with observation. Furthermore, large enough detectable current telescopes (e.g. LOFAR, JVLA).

Heliopause radio emission scenario

Heliospheric (HSP) radio emission detected by the Voyager spacecraft between 1.8 kHz and 3.6 kHz from the distant heliosphere is interpreted as emission generated close to and at the heliopause (HP), the interface between the ionised very local interstellar (LIC) gas and the supersonic solar wind (SW) stream. Radio emission is assumed to be triggered by secondary charge exchange ionisation of i...

Relics of Double Radio Sources

We have formed a new sample which consists of extended extragalactic radio sources without obvious active galactic nuclei (AGN) in them. Most of these sources appear to be dead double radio sources. These sources with steep spectra (α < -1.8; S ∝ ν) were identified using the 74 (VLSS) and the 1400 MHz (NVSS) surveys and further imaged using the Very Large Array (VLA) and the Giant Meterwave Rad...

Are Cluster Radio Relics Revived Fossil Radio Cocoons?

A new model for the, so called, cluster radio relics is presented (Enßlin & Gopal-Krishna 2000). Fossil radio cocoons, resulting from the former activity of radio galaxies, should contain a low energy relativistic electron population and magnetic fields. Electrons with an age of even up to 2 Gyr can be re-accelerated adiabatically to radio emitting energies, if the fossil radio plasma gets comp...

Radio Emission from Algol

We report dual circular polarization VLBA observations of Algol made at orbital phases 0.22{0.30 using a diierential phase referencing technique. The ux density of Algol varied from 10{20 mJy during the observations. The radio maps show a double-lobe source separated by 1.6 mas (1.4 times the K star diameter). Although the total emission is only weakly circularly polarized, the individual lobes...

Radio Emission from Exoplanets

We present results from new low frequency observations of two extrasolar planetary systems (ε Eridani and HD128311) taken at 150 MHz with the Giant Metrewave Radio Telescope (GMRT). We do not detect either system, but are able to place tight upper limits on their low frequency radio emission.
